Contest : La Sélection des Vins du Valais
Each year, in spring and in fall, the Interprofession de la Vigne et du Vin du Valais a contest which is called “La Sélection Vins du Valais”.
The wines are tasted by a jury of professionals who gives notes to the wines according to various criteria.
The best wines noted obtain a gold or silver star.
The jury of professionals recruited in the wine and gastronomy world is chaired by Corinne Clavien, oenologist at the cantonal service of agriculture.
The autumn contest "Sélection des Vins du Valais" will take place on 18th and 19th October 2011 in Sierre.
