Matching food with sweet white wines

Wines made from grapes withered on the vine (flétris), when drunk young, are high in sugar content and are best served with warm fruit-based desserts such as French apple pie (tarte Tatin). When these wines are older, as liquoreux wines they are beautiful served with foie gras or parsley cheeses whose rinds have been washed.
